Shelley Beach 27th June 2009

Dive No. 353
10.39 am, 17 degrees, 57 mins, 12.5 max, 7.6 av
Not a bad dive for Shelly. Large group DM’d by DY including me, Liz and Amanda Pol as a threesome. Giant cuttlefish, Port Jackson sharks back for the winter recess, numbray (which “attacked” Amanda, I thought it was trying to bite her, luckily she didn’t get zapped), blue gropers, plenty of different types of leatherjacket, large schools of silver drummer, yellowtail, pomfret and surgeonfish.

Shelley Beach/Fairy Bower 20th June 2009

Dive No. 352.
10.26 am, 18 degrees, 60 mins, 7.6 max, 4.9 av
Wet in and out of the water! DM Dave and four others, including me; Dave was hoping to find some duskies and there was a swell coming from the north-east so we headed towards FB. No sharks but plenty of other fish like mullet, luderick, morwong, mados, yellowtail, rock cod, etc., plus a giant cuttlefish and octopus.
